Job Description:

  • Provide daily operational, maintenance, and repair support for audiovisual (AV) and video teleconferencing (VTC) systems.
  • The support can include scheduling, facilitation, trouble resolution, VTC and audio conference session support, streaming media support, and Briefing and Display System (BDS) training.
  • The operator may be responsible for configuring the systems in preparation for meetings, briefings, exercises, and real world/contingency operations scheduled by AMC and supporting as best as possible unscheduled events.
  • Additional responsibilities may include engineering, installation, and relocation for future upgrades.
  • Respond, handle, and resolve direct customer inquiries in a prompt and professional manner
  • Monitor schedule of conferences, briefings, and daily operations to ensure AV systems are available and functioning properly as required
  • Monitor BDS related consumables (i.e. LCD projector lamps) to coordinate proactive scheduled replenishment as required and authorized by AMC/USASAC
  • Coordinate and perform technical tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of AV equipment
  • Diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to audio visual equipment and systems, as well as make recommendations for expediting repairs
  • Exercise flexibility in performing duties outside normal business hours as required
  • Perform specialized technical tasks in the operation and maintenance of complex AV equipment
  • Install low voltage wiring and cable; solder and terminate connectors; wire equipment racks; and assemble equipment/devices using the appropriate supports/mounts
  • Able to work around expensive furniture and equipment without damage to same


  • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 3-5 years experience in AV design, installation, or O&M

8570 Job Requirements:

  • Information Assurance professional certifications that meet DoD 8570.1M requirements for IAT-1 (A+, Network+, SSCP).

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • ITIL v3 Foundations certification preferred
  • Security+ or CISSP highly preferred
  • Desired BS in EE or related degree
  • Certified in AMX Signal Management and/or Installation preferred
  • Formal training in Barco video systems is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge that demonstrates competency with network design, operational support, hands-on implementation, configuration and trouble-shooting of A/V and networking devices.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written communications skills and attention to detail CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I desired. *DVS-G Level I and Level II.

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
